Family fun Majorca has many fun activities for the whole family. Top attractions include Palma Aquarium, Marineland and the Mallorca Planetarium. Karting at Karting Magaluf is also a great choice. Calle Net, in Tramuntana, is also fantastic for wannabe explorers.   2 The Old Town You really must visit the Old Town in Palm City. This historic area is full of ancient architecture and is steeped in history with winding cobbled streets to explore. If you need a little rest then there is a Palma City Sightseeing bus tour. 3 Wine tours There are many wine tours available to tourists, with most wineries offering wine tasting events. Popular wine regions that also include tours are those of Consell, Santa Maria del Camí, Binissalem, Santa Eugenia and Sencelles. 4 Shopping The capital, Palma de Mallorca, was made for shopping. Here you will find local handcrafted items alongside luxury boutiques. All of the shops are also open on a Sunday, so you can shop and have a leisurely brunch. 5 Museums It is well worth taking an afternoon off to visit a museum. One favourite is that of Es Baluard Museum that displays modern and contemporary art. This is also the largest museum on the island. With a bookshop and café attached to the main museum, you can most certainly enjoy a fun day out. 6 Hidden villages There are many villages just waiting to be explored. Serra de Tramuntana and Santanyí, are both interesting villages to spend the day in. The west coast also has much tp offer, with the village of Banyalbufar known for its friendly welcome. 7 Local markets The main market to explore is located in Pollenca and is open on Sunday. Other popular markets include those in Santa Maria, Inca and Sineu. At the market you will be able to buy fruit, vegetables, flowers and home made products such as bags and jewellery.
